Like the start of many things in life, pinpointing just where it all began can be a challenge, but one thing is for sure a love of animals and a passion for art were the catalyst that started it all.
From unique beginnings in the rare and specialized market of physically hand painting dogs on handbags, wallets, sunglasses and other accessories, the artwork evolved in concert with the products it appeared on and how it was applied, allowing expansion into new markets while preserving the commitment to feature great original art on items people love to carry everyday.
Andie, the founder and sole full-time artist of Off-Leash Art, is mother to one very intelligent Boston Terrier. She often comments that "he doesn't always do the smartest things but he thinks he has me wrapped around his dewclaw and that is the inspiration behind my work". A master manipulator this little guy's antics are often laugh-out-loud funny and since Andie loves to laugh it is easy to see where she finds the comedic side of dogs' personalities that often surfaces in her depiction of them.
The Artist's focus is to capture the fun, loving, and often hilarious personalities of animals, with a primary focus on dogs, in hand drawn and painted artwork to be featured on items beyond the frame for greater enjoyment of the art in everyday settings.
"All animals fascinate me, and I would love to draw them all. For now, however, my specialty is dogs and I have over a decade's practice in drawing hundreds of different breeds."

The artist retains copyrights to all original drawings, prints of original drawings, published artwork, licensed designs (public and private), and website and digital images of artwork. All work is registered with the U.S. Library of Congress.
